Don’t Be A Flash In The Pan… #BuiltToLast

Proverbs25:6 (KJV) Do not exalt yourself in the king’s presence, and do not claim a place among great men;

The fastest way to be a flash in the pan is to work for the money,  for the credit, for attention and all the glamour. However,  living that way is like putting the cart before the horse. Any success attained that way is hardly ever sustainable.

Life wasn’t designed to operate that way.

What everyone is looking at is the staying power. This can’t just be a flash in the pan.
– Michael Edmonson

You should rather focus on getting better at what you do, being relevant to the corporate mission of your organization or to society at large, and putting your work in a globally recognizable format…

Do you see a man skilled in his work? He will serve before kings; he will not serve before obscure men.  Proverbs 22:29 (KJV)

A gold fish has no hiding place. If you’d rather put your focus in the right place, your gifts will find you out very shortly, and your success will stand the test of time.

Lord,  when You say, run to obtain,  now I know You do not mean to labour for the glamour only and abandon the process. Help me to rather focus on being diligent. And as I keep at it,  may my work attract the recognition that will stand the test of time. Amen.
