John 6:12-13 (KJV)... he said unto his disciples, Gather up the fragments that remain, that nothing be lost. Therefore they gathered them together, and filled twelve baskets with the fragments of the five barley loaves, which remained…
There is POWER in LITTLE THINGS:
The little which remains after all is lost
The little you have left when all your resources are spent
The five barley loaves and two fishes which would scarcely suffice
and the fragments which remain…
The little you can still do when it’s already too late…
The few things that still work after your big mistake…
The few sweet memories to hold on to when things go sour
The few things to still dance about when the music fades…
Those few magic moments amidst life’s struggles
and few unexpected blessings which make our day …
Just before you throw in the towel, give up the ship and bow out,
Remember the POWER in LITTLE THINGS
and hold on…
If you’d learn to pick up the fragments
You’d soon discover every crisis in life is a blessing in disguise,
For if you are faithful with the little which remains,
You’d learn what you have left are basketfuls NOT scrap…! (*1)
How encouraging to know Lord that there is great power in the little which remains after all the great and terrible losses I might have suffered!
Please teach me to be so faithful from hence that from this little which remain might be built great monuments of my destiny unto Your glory. Amen.
