Psa 90:13 (KJV) Return, O Lord, how long?
and let it repent thee concerning thy servants.

Is there any area of life that is particularly difficult and frustrating for you?

Then you probably have dealt with it long enough in your own strength and by your own efforts, wisdom, innovation, ideas, schemes, devices, expertise and other beautiful details of your human capabilities or based on the counsel of others.

But now the Lord says, “Return! It’s time to try something new and actively engage MY help!”

You return man to dust
and say, “Return, O children of man!”
Psa 90:3 (ESV)

Engaging God’s help goes beyond merely praying. There comes a time in life when one needs to resolve to stop tackling particular life challenges his own familiar ways but to start consulting the Lord’s preference as laid out in His words!

But Daniel resolved that he would not defile himself with the king’s food, or with the wine that he drank. Dan 1:8 (ESV)

If you’d only apply this principle to that frustrating finance, marriage, relationship, career, ministry, business, etc. and purpose to start checking out and applying God’s preference FIRST before consulting your own strength, will, emotions, experience, wisdom, intellect, or another man’s help.

As you do this, you’d sure start seeing a difference because things will begin to take a turn around for the better.

Have you not known? Have you not heard?
The Lord is the everlasting God,
the Creator of the ends of the earth.
He does not faint or grow weary;
his understanding is unsearchable.
Isa 40:28  (ESV)

Trust in the Lord with all thine heart;
and lean not unto thine own understanding.
In all thy ways acknowledge him,
and he shall direct thy paths.
Pro 3:5-6 (KJV)

Prayer:

Lord, again, I have circled this mountain one time too many. I have tried to tackled this frustrating issue a day too many. But now Return Lord, how long?

Please teach my heart to learn to consult your counsel first and not any man’s counsel, not even my own will. Help me to trust in and lean on You with all my heart, and as I do, please grant Lord that the challenges I see today I see no more. Rather, let my mouth be filled with testimonies of your goodness over those very seeming insurmountable issues in Jesus’ name. Amen!
