Day 78: What Do You Have?

From flickr

Exodus 4:2-3 (KJV) And the LORD said unto him, What is that in thine hand? And he said, A rod. And he said, Cast it on the ground. And he cast it… and it became a serpent; and Moses fled from before it.

No man is ever left with NOTHING.
Gift or talent, skill or expertise, inheritance, goodwill or connection, good education, good background, strong family bond, health, strength, beauty etc. we all have something which has the potential to translate to wealth and bring us to limelight if discovered and maximized.
Or does anyone think the world’s wealthiest and most famous men had better chances than others? Not necessarily.
Though all men have equal probability to success, only those who would take the chance and seize the moment would experience victory.

That the communication of thy faith may become effectual by the acknowledging of every good thing which is in you in Christ Jesus. Phil.1:6 (KJV)

Joseph never missed any chance in life. On his sojourn from the pit through the prison to the palace, he maximized every opening to serve and make life easier for someone. This singular act created opportunities around him which eventually launched him into limelight!
Would you like to locate the life opportunities in the challenges you see today?
Then take a closer look within and at the world around you: Connections, good relationships, an inheritance, a good education; favour and goodwill, a good personality, good friends – What do you have?

Lord, I thank You that You haven’t left me empty without absolutely nothing: You have endowed me with something good, which has a certain probability to translate to success if acknowledged and maximized.
Please help me to close my eyes to the odds against me and to rather focus on the good thing You’ve endowed me with, and to maximise them to the point where they bring me from obscurity to limelight. Amen.
