Matt 5:38-39 (AMP) You have heard that it was said, An eye for an eye, and a tooth for a tooth. But I say to you, Do not resist the evil man [who injures you]; but if anyone strikes you on the right jaw or cheek, turn to him the other one too.

MY GOD!

EACH TIME I’m hurt
And am under pressure enough
To EXPLODE!
Help me to trust in your strength
Not Exposed!

Let me always remember
That Greater are YOU
Who is in me
Than he
Who has dealt badly with me

Teach me to acknowledge
That Greater are YOU
Who I MUST please
Than he
So I MUST forgive!

Give me the strength to be beaten
And take no revenge
Let me rather be defrauded
Yet take no offence

Now therefore there is utterly a fault among you, because ye go to law one with another. Why do ye not rather take wrong? why do ye not rather suffer yourselves to be defrauded 1 Cor.6:7 (KJV)

Teach me O LORD
That I am not to strike
Or render a slap for a slap
  A bite for a bite

Let not my voice be
Like the blood of Cain
Crying,“Vengeance LORD
You just must judge!”

Rather give me the grace
To to have the compassion of Your Son
Crying, “Have mercy Father
For they know not”

Be ye angry, and sin not: let not the sun go down upon your wrath: Neither give place to the devil. Eph 4:26-27 (KJV)

Help me O LORD
To render a smile for a frown
  Honour for disrespect
  Forgiveness for offence
  Blessings for a curse

Make me an ambassador
Of Your mercy O LORD
In Jesus’ name I ask…
