Exo 17:8-9 & 11 (KJV) Then came Amalek, and fought with Israel in Rephidim. And Moses said unto Joshua, Choose us out men, and go out, fight with Amalek: to morrow I will stand on the top of the hill with the rod of God in mine hand. .. And it came to pass, when Moses held up his hand, that Israel prevailed: and when he let down his hand, Amalek prevailed.

A strong link exists between a man’s level of spirituality and the outcome of his life. As a matter of fact, spirituality and success, even in the corporate world are closely knitted.

Therefore, the earlier we learn in life that greatness cannot be attained and sustained by human efforts alone, the better for us.

Sadly, this is one area where the children of darkness are wiser in their generations…

Today’s text is one of the clear illustrations in the word of God that the spiritual is as real as and in fact controls the natural.

If we must win the battles of life to enter into our God given inheritance, then beyond fulfilling all the natural requirements of success, there is a stepping up in the spirit to be done!

… the earlier we learn in life that greatness cannot be attained and sustained by human efforts alone, the better for us.

In addition to our natural toils, there is a fasting, a praying in the spirit … a standing on top of the hill with the rod of God in our hand to be done. The rod here symbolizes the word of God.

There is a bold affirmation and strong declaration of the promises of God regarding our destinies as outlined in His words to be done!

Would you like to scale all hurdles, obstacles and limitations, and attain greater heights this year? Then it’s time to go beyond your weak, earthly and natural struggles, to reposition yourself spiritually and STEP UP!

Prayer:

Lord, each time I start going about fighting my life’s battles with fleshy weapons and strategies, please teach me to remember that above all, the weapons of my warfare are NOT carnal but mighty through YOU. Amen!
