Day 62: Don’t Let Them Steal Your Joy…

1 Cor.10:10 (KJV) Neither murmur ye, as some of them also murmured, and were destroyed of the destroyer.

Welcome to #JoySeries! Related to this post is Day 58: A Party On The Inside.

So why do our ‘batteries’ seem to run down ever so often, leaving us running on empty, with low levels of energy and inspiration?
Apart from our most dominant thoughts (as explained in our posts ‘The Fundamental Law‘ and ‘What Are You Full Of?’), another reason is this subtle habit which by regular practice has become a dominant part of our personalities and lifestyles; talking about the complaining attitude.
Are you a whiner? Even in your thoughts?
In this part of the globe nagging is a way of life! Complaints, complaints and more complaints!
What with erratic power supply, traffic jams, work pressure, inadequate infrastructures, corrupt leaders, unemployment, low income level and so on, we probably have one thing too many to complain about anyway, someone may rationalize.
The truth however, is that the complaining spirit is another subtle destroyer, for whatever can steal a man’s joy also has the potential to waste his life and destroy his destiny unawares.
As a matter of fact, a life full of complaint attracts demonic manifestations like a magnet does iron!

The complaining attitude is that deadly!
Still wondering where your strength and inspiration went to?
Please take an inventory of the number of times you feel the urge to complain about anything from today. A close look at the pattern will show you the answers.
Afterwards, each time you catch yourself complaining, ask for God’s help immediately and turn it into thanksgiving instead.

in everything give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus to you-ward. 1 Thess.5:18 (ASV)

And His Joy will be your joy, His strength your strength and His Victory your victory very shortly!

Lord, surely, the thief cometh not but for to steal, kill and destroy. Please deliver me from the complaining spirit – one of the subtle robbers of destiny and teach my heart and mouth to speak of Your praises instead.

Let Your joy be my joy, Your strength my strength, Your peace my peace and Your victory my victory. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
