Day 61: The Place Of The Blessing

Gen.27:40 (KJV)...  And by thy sword shalt thou live, and shalt serve thy brother;

Great efforts, high qualification and good intentions are great, and desirable. However, they are never sufficient in themselves to sustain a man through life, especially on the pathway to significance.

…one day of favour is more valuable and profitable than a hundred years of labour.

Over and above these things, we need divine empowerment, i.e. The blessing of God to prosper in life.

Blessing is an empowerment to prosper. It is the divine enablement and liberty to fulfil God’s purpose for our life.

When God made Adam, He did not leave him to fulfil His purpose by his own strength. Rather, He enabled and empowered him. He blessed Him!

Jacob had the enablement to prosper with every little effort. Esau, on the other hand had to live by his sword- i.e. on his sweat. He was to live by his effort only. He wasn’t otherwise empowered.

Surely, one day of favour is more valuable and profitable than a hundred years of labour.

The blessing of the Lord, it maketh rich,
and he addeth no sorrow with it.
Pro 10:22 (KJV)

Would you like to triumph effortlessly in life? Then you need to open your mouth wide once again and activate (I.e. set loose) His blessing upon your life.

Gen.27:27-29 is a good place to start…

Prayer:

My smell is like the smell of a field
which the Lord has blessed.
Therefore God give me of the dew of heaven,
and the fatness of the earth,
and plenty of corn and wine:
Let people serve me,
and nations bow down to me:
I am a force to reckon with in all my endeavours,
and let my contemporaries celebrate me:
cursed be every one that curses me,
and blessed be he that blesses me.
(Gen.27-27-29)
In Jesus’ name.Amen.
