Jer. 31:16-17 (KJV) Thus saith the LORD; Refrain thy voice from weeping, and thine eyes from tears: for thy work shall be rewarded, saith the LORD; and they shall come again from the land of the enemy. And there is hope in thine end… that thy children shall come again to their own border.
Welcome to #DreamSeries!
Was your dream shattered recently? Was your hope dashed? If you answered YES, you are not alone!
Agreeably, nothing in life could be more devastating than when ones expectations suddenly become a mirage and the realities of ones dreams become an illusion, or worse still a nightmare.
… broken dreams don’t have to halt your destiny… if only you’d … dare to live again, you can still have your dreams fully delivered to you despite all odds!
Check out a hurting family torn apart by the pain of death, separation or even divorce; or the pain of someone losing all he’s worth to a miscalculated business venture, to mention but a few.
Sincerely it could be hard to make any extraordinary attempt at life again when it seems like all hope is lost.
However, as we’ve adequately emphasized in this series, broken dreams don’t have to halt your destiny. Through it all, your future lies intact in God’s hands.
Moreover, if you’d realize that it’s up to you to brace up yourself and dare to dream and live again, you could still have your dreams fully delivered to you despite all odds!
…the outcome of a man’s life is not so much a function of what life brings his ways. Our end is rather more dependent on how we respond to life’s circumstances…
Taking it further today, let’s consider how Joseph cooperated with God and handled his shattered dream so well that he had his destiny preserved despite all he had to go through.
Joseph had it rough from the very start. His father’s undivided attention and extravagant affection was never strong enough to protect him from the cruelty of his brothers. Oh how they hated him! Everything he went through in life stemmed from that gross hatred!
The factor which helped preserve Joseph’s destiny despite his shattered dream was one quality he possessed from the very beginning- ever before the real storm started.
And he dreamed yet another dream, and told it his brethren… Genesis 37:9 (KJV)
Joseph had this unquenchable, resilient, die-hard, adamant (pleasantly ‘stubborn’ if you like) spirit!
This spirit it was which made him dare to dream again despite his family’s reaction to his first dream. Moreover by this same spirit, he was able to sustain and hold a firm mental picture of his dream till the very end. Little wonder he had it fully delivered to him despite all odds!
This shows clearly that the outcome of a man’s life is not so much a function of what life brings his ways. Our end is rather more dependent on how we respond to life’s circumstances, how much we trust in God’s faithfulness and capabilities, as well as how firmly we are able to hold on to His promise to see us to our desired future through it all.
Would you like to see God bring you to your desired end (however He does it) despite the cruel realities of your shattered hopes and dream?
Then how resilient, adamant, ‘stubborn‘ are you willing to be as regards your dream? How insistent would you be as regards your destiny? Are you going to keep dreaming ‘it’ over and over again despite the darkness around you?
Would you accept defeat and take life’s temporary ‘NO’ for an answer, or are you going to be so resilient as to dare to dream again despite your dashed hopes and broken dreams in times past?
That exactly is the first way to your turn around!
Lord, thank You for reminding me yet again that broken dreams don’t have to be show stoppers for me or worse still halt my destiny. Please keep me adamant enough to keep dreaming and insisting on Your good intentions towards me in Jesus’ name. Amen.
