Isa. 46:10 (KJV) Declaring the end from the beginning, and from ancient times the things that are not yet done.
Amos 3:7 (KJV) Surely the Lord will do nothing, but he revealeth his secret unto his servants the prophets

Our God is ever proactive
Always declaring the end even before the beginning
Never hides His counsel from His chosen
Wouldn’t lead to places He hasn’t first trodden

God performed His wonders at creation
Catering for man’s every need before he was formed
Didn’t make Adam till He had spoken
All of life’s necessities into his Eden…

The Lord speaks through the firmaments of heaven
Day and night proclaiming His counsels
He revealed His secrets to His prophets
“Shall I hide from Abraham what I’m about to do?”(*1)

God showed forth His works to Israel
Setting them tables even in the wilderness
And the Lord had talk with Moses face to face
As a man may have talk with his friend!
(*2)

The Lord fulfilled His words to Joshua
“I will not fail nor forsake thee” (*3)
Giving the blueprint for every battle
Never led to any nation He hadn’t first conquered

Lord Jesus never hides from us His counsels
“In my Fathers house are many mansions
For you I go a place to prepare
I would have told you if it were not so” (*4)

Even the Spirit takes us steps ahead
“He will guide you into all truth:
For whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak:
And he will shew you things to come.”
(*5)

Surely our God is ever proactive
Telling from ancient times things not yet done
Ever declaring to His loved ones His counsels
Faithful through the ages for eternity.

(To be continued…)

Prayer:

Lord, how great to know that no occurrence in my life could ever take You by surprise for You were in the picture all all along, knowing the end from the beginning. This gives me great assurance that I cannot be lost for You are always In control.

May I not be dull of hearing as You try to declare to me Your counsel. Amen.
