Day 16: Step Out On The High Seas…

From Microsoft clips onlkine

Hebrews 11:8 (KJV) By faith Abraham, when he was called to go out into a place which he should after receive for an inheritance, obeyed; and he went out, not knowing whither he went.

The best time to start paddling upstream towards your destiny is the Instant it starts weighing heavy on your heart to dare. And that time could very well be right now!

While the place of ‘life jackets’ in such circumstances, (talking of things like adequate knowledge, preparation, qualification, strategy, connection, good financial reserves, double assurance, good back-out plans and the likes) cannot be deemphasized, it is important to also resist the temptation to delay forever, waiting to know it all, see it all and have all the clues, before beginning to act.

In God’s economy, you learn to walk by walking, and to swim by swimming.

Those who wouldn’t act until they know enough, have enough, see enough stand the chance of missing the moment. Steps of faith are always embedded on the journey to significance.

Sandi Krakowski, one of the world’s leading Marketing Consultants and Copywriters once wrote,

“I study what’s going on in the marketplace, ask a lot of questions, and then I fire. I aim later… Ready, Fire, Aim… captures how I’ve been doing business for a long time. If I try to ready, aim and then fire, my shot is pathetic. It is much easier for me to shoot, adjust, and shoot again…” (*1)

How very daring!

In God’s economy, you learn to walk by walking, and to swim by swimming.

The best skills are learnt on the job- Shooting, adjusting and shooting again! Now, that’s what faith is all about. Summarily.

John 4:35 (KJV) Say not ye, There are yet four months, and then cometh harvest? behold, I say unto you, Lift up your eyes, and look on the fields; for they are white already to harvest.

Step out on the High Seas:
His hands will uphold you

Walk through THIS dead end ‘blindly’:
New ways will appear

Jump off THIS cliff with ‘reckless’ abandon:
Let God catch you

Hit the iron while it’s RED HOT:
…step into your moment right NOW!

Lord, please grant me the grace to launch out towards the area of my passion, defying all fears. Amen.
